Vilostudios is an all-in-one anime and manga production company handling everything from writing and design to animation, voice acting, and sound. We’re building a new model for anime production that values creative freedom, fair compensation, and global collaboration.
We’re expanding our freelancer database and are currently seeking In-Between Animators (動画 / Douga) to join our team for upcoming anime projects.
Responsibilities
- Create in-between frames (動画) that maintain smooth motion between key animation cuts.
- Ensure consistency in character proportions, line quality, and timing.
- Work closely with Key Animators (原画) and Animation Directors (作画監督) to deliver accurate and expressive in-betweens.
- Complete assigned cuts according to project deadlines.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively within a remote pipeline.
Requirements
Basic experience or training in 2D animation or Douga work. Strong drawing fundamentals, with attention to detail and clean linework. Familiarity with Clip Studio Paint (CSP) or equivalent digital animation tools. Understanding of Japanese animation workflow and timing sheets (タイムシート). Ability to accept feedback and make corrections efficiently. English or Japanese proficiency (either acceptable). Reliable internet connection and good communication for remote coordination.
