We’re expanding our freelancer database and are seeking skilled E‑Konte Artists (絵コンテ / Storyboard Artists) to help shape the visual language, pacing, and emotional flow of our animated works.

The E‑Konte Artist is responsible for translating scripts into clear, expressive, and production‑ready storyboards. Candidates should have a strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, camera language, and narrative structure, with the ability to visualize scenes through dynamic compositions, readable acting, and purposeful shot choices. They must be able to break down story beats, design action and choreography, and communicate emotion through timing, staging, and character performance. Familiarity with anime‑specific visual grammar, continuity, and production constraints is essential. Ideal candidates can think cinematically, adapt quickly to feedback, and deliver boards that guide layout, animation, and direction with clarity and intention. Optional experience includes action‑heavy storyboarding, fight choreography, cinematography knowledge, and understanding of editing or music timing.

The Episodic Director is responsible for bringing a script to life as a complete episode, translating story, emotion, and action into clear visual storytelling. Candidates should have a strong understanding of episodic structure, pacing, and genre-specific anime language, with the ability to direct acting through body language, facial expression, and timing while maintaining emotional continuity across cuts. They should be skilled in designing readable action and fight sequences, storyboarding choreography, camera angles, and motion, and guiding layouts to balance emotion, power dynamics, and visual clarity. Familiarity with the anime production pipeline, the ability to review key and 2nd key animation for acting and timing, and awareness of production constraints are essential. Ideal candidates fully understand the script’s emotional intent, think in beats rather than isolated scenes, adapt quickly to feedback, and can make confident creative decisions under pressure. Optional experience includes action-heavy or fight-focused direction, martial arts or choreography reference, and knowledge of editing, music timing, or compositing.

• Identify and correct errors in timing, missing details, or frame continuity.
• Communicate with Key Animators, Douga artists, and Animation Directors to ensure smooth production flow.
• Deliver checked cuts ready for finishing (仕上げ / Shiage) and compositing.
